What is the Houston BCycle Go Pass?

The GO Pass is a special membership for qualified Houstonians without the financial means to pay for our standard $13/month or $79/year membership fee. The GO Pass only costs $3 per month, with cash payment available.

When you are a GO Pass Member, you can pick up a bike at any station, ride for up to 90 minutes, and then drop that bike off at any station. You can do this as many times as you want as long as you don’t:

  • Lose the BCycle

  • Ride over 90 minutes on a single trip

Who is eligible for a GO Pass?

GO Pass eligibility requirements include all of the following:

  • A self-reported annual income of $35,000 or less.

  • A verifiable phone number.

  • 18 years of age.

  • At least $3 in cash or credit card payment for the first month (additional months will be available for purchase).

  • In person payment at at 3353 Elgin St., Houston, TX 77004 on Monday-Friday from 10AM-4PM.

    • If paying in cash, recurring payments will need to be made in person.

    • If paying with credit/debit, the first payment will need to be made in person.

How much does a GO Pass cost?

The GO Pass costs $3/month. You may pay for multiple months in advance–up to a year’s worth of membership ($36).

Do I need a credit card to pay?

GO Passes can be purchased with cash or credit at our partner institution, Change Happens! in Third Ward. Visit their site at 3353 Elgin St., Houston, TX 77004 on Monday-Friday from 10AM-4PM to learn more and find out if you’re eligible!

What can I use a GO Pass for?

With a Houston BCycle GO Pass, you can:

  • GO to the park

  • GO to the clinic

  • GO to a job

  • GO to the store

  • GO catch the bus

  • GO visit a friend

  • GO just for fun!

GO Pass members can use all of the stations in our network (click here for a map) and have access to the free BCycle mobile app (click here to download) as well as an RFID card for checking out bikes.
